Many ping users have asked us to add replying using voice to text. While this technology is readily available, there are many reasons why we have not done so, and are unlikely to do so in the near future:
1. It is proven to be unsafe.

2. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration guidelines specifically advise against this.
3. And finally, from a practical point of view: The technology is far from 100%.
And, as you are driving, there is no way to correct these mistakes.
In summary: we understand why drivers would like this, but it’s simply not practical nor safe.
We love technology and the things it can do for us.
